Shahar richt zich op conceptueel materiaalonderzoek in een methodologie op meerdere niveaus. Hierbij worden unieke verhalen tot leven gebracht door middel van objecten en installaties waarin materialen van verhalen centraal staan. Sommige van Shahar Livne’s projecten gaan over obscure materialen zoals bloed, kunstmatige fossielen, kristallisatie en meer. De uitgangspunten van haar projecten zijn vaak verhalen over plaatsen, culturen en relaties met bronnen in het verleden, heden en toekomst.

Shahar’s body of work focuses on conceptual material research in a multi-leveled methodology, bringing to life unique stories through objects and installations centered around materials as carriers of narratives.
